The General Electric ncdc24bt4 is a 2-ton cased evaporator coil engineered for downflow air handler and furnace installations. Configured in a B-cabinet form factor, it sits in the supply-air section of a forced-air system where refrigerant absorbs heat from indoor air before it circulates through the occupied space. This coil is designed for use with R410A refrigerant and is fully cased, meaning the coil assembly ships inside a cabinet enclosure that simplifies installation alignment and protects the coil fins during handling. HVAC technicians performing split-system installations or coil replacements are the primary installers.
This coil is suited for residential split-system cooling applications where a downflow configuration is required. In a downflow setup, conditioned air exits the bottom of the air handler or furnace, making this coil appropriate for attic-mounted or closet-style systems that discharge air downward into the duct system. The B-cabinet sizing is a standard dimension class used to match the coil to compatible air handlers and furnaces within the same cabinet-width family.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation evaporator coil for residential downflow split-system applications using R410A refrigerant in a B-cabinet configuration.
Installation should be performed by an EPA Section 608 certified HVAC technician. Shut off all electrical power to the air handler or furnace and recover any refrigerant from the system before disconnecting or replacing the coil.
