The GENERAL DCS16HPART is a video borescope designed for visual inspection in confined, hard-to-reach spaces. It pairs a high-performance articulating probe with a 4.0-inch TFT LCD color display, delivering 620 x 480 pixel image resolution. The probe measures 0.23 inches in diameter and 39 inches (1 meter) in length, with a camera head that is 0.90 inches long and 0.23 inches wide. A 60-degree field of view and LED illumination make it well suited for inspecting ductwork interiors, pipe runs, heat exchanger sections, and other enclosed components. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and inspection professionals are the primary users of this tool.
The DCS16HPART is built for trade professionals who need reliable visual access to system interiors during diagnostic and maintenance work. The articulating probe navigates bends and tight passages, and the waterproof construction allows use in wet or damp environments such as drain lines, pipe interiors, and condensate systems. The included 70-degree mirrored probe viewing tip extends inspection angles without repositioning the probe. The unit ships with a 4GB SD memory card, USB and AV cables, an AC adaptor and charger, and a custom hard plastic carrying case for jobsite transport and storage.
The DCS16HPART includes the H16 console and the P16HPART high-performance articulating probe. It is designed as a complete video borescope system for general trade inspection use across HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical applications.
This borescope is a handheld inspection tool, not a permanently installed component. Before inspecting pressurized systems, confirm that pressure has been relieved and access ports are safe to open. When inserting the probe into electrical enclosures or energized panels, de-energize the equipment first in accordance with NFPA 70E lockout/tagout procedures. Avoid forcing the articulating probe around sharp bends that exceed its rated flex range, as this can damage the cable or camera head.
