The GENERAL ELECTRIC uvw8364spss is a 36-inch wall mount range hood designed for residential kitchens where ventilation performance and a clean aesthetic both matter. Rated at 430 CFM on boost speed, it moves cooking exhaust efficiently through an 8-inch round duct. A four-speed electronic fan control lets technicians and homeowners dial in airflow to match cooking intensity. Two dimmable LED lights illuminate the cooktop surface, and the front-mounted controls include on, off, and night-light modes. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs with the SmartHQ app and supports Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice control. The unit runs on 120 volts at 5.3 amps, drawing 332 watts at full load. Installation requires a licensed or qualified technician familiar with residential kitchen ventilation and low-voltage smart-appliance wiring.
The uvw8364spss is suited for residential kitchens with 36-inch cooktops or ranges positioned against a wall. It supports both vented-to-outside and recirculating exhaust configurations, giving installers flexibility when exterior duct runs are not practical. The Chef Connect feature links the hood to compatible GE cooktops, automatically activating the fan and lights when the cooktop is turned on. The included grease and charcoal filters are dishwasher safe, reducing maintenance time. Optional accessories include duct cover kits for 10-foot and 12-foot ceilings (CX10DC9SPSS and CX12DC9SPSS) and a remote control (UXRC70) for added convenience.
Compatible with 36-inch wall installations. Optional duct cover kits CX10DC9SPSS (10-foot ceiling) and CX12DC9SPSS (12-foot ceiling) are available as accessories. Optional remote control UXRC70 is also compatible. Chef Connect functionality is available with compatible GE cooktops when connected via the SmartHQ app.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician experienced with residential kitchen ventilation systems. Before beginning work, disconnect power at the breaker and verify the circuit meets the 120-volt, 60 Hz, 5.3-amp electrical requirement. Ducted installations require an 8-inch round duct run to an exterior termination point in accordance with local mechanical codes. For recirculating installations, confirm the charcoal filter is seated before returning the unit to service.
