The GATOR 9602 is a Type 27 silicon carbide cut-off wheel engineered for heavy-duty masonry cutting, grinding, and deburring on angle grinders. Measuring 4 inches in diameter, 1/8 inch thick, and with a 5/8 inch arbor hole, this wheel is double reinforced for extended service life and faster material removal. The industrial-grade silicon carbide abrasive provides aggressive cutting action on masonry, concrete, stone, and similar hard materials. Weighing just 0.124 pounds, it fits standard angle grinders without adding significant rotational mass.
This cut-off wheel is suited for residential and commercial masonry work, including tile cutting, block work, concrete grinding, and surface deburring. The Type 27 depressed-center profile supports low-angle and vertical grinding applications where a flat Type 1 wheel would not provide adequate clearance. Tile setters, masonry contractors, and general tradespeople commonly use this wheel for in-field cutting and surface prep tasks.
Designed for use on standard angle grinders accepting a 5/8 inch arbor and a 4 inch diameter accessory wheel.
Mounting and removal should be performed by a qualified operator following the angle grinder manufacturer's guarding and speed rating requirements. Confirm the wheel's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds the grinder's no-load RPM before mounting. Always install the appropriate guard for the wheel type and wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection. Disconnect or power down the grinder before changing wheels.
