The GASTITE 8220 is a pre-insulated mini split line set kit designed for residential and light commercial refrigerant piping applications. It pairs a 3/8-inch liquid line with a 5/8-inch suction line, both constructed from PE-RT polyethylene over aluminum tubing, wrapped in 1/2-inch insulation and finished in black. The kit ships at 35 feet in length, giving technicians a ready-to-run solution without field fabrication of individual lines. Rated to 700 psi and 203 degrees F, this line set is built to handle the pressures and temperatures common in modern split-system installations. The A2L refrigerant compatibility broadens its usefulness as the industry transitions away from R-410A.
This line set is intended for ductless mini split and small split-system installations where a factory-paired, pre-insulated set reduces labor time and field error. The 8220 is approved for use with R-410A, R-32, and R-454B refrigerants, making it a suitable choice for both existing equipment and newer A2L-rated systems being deployed in the field. The 35-foot length covers the majority of standard wall-penetration and short-run applications without splicing. HVAC technicians installing mini splits in residential conditioned spaces will find the black polyethylene jacket clean and unobtrusive.
Approved for use with R-410A, R-32, and R-454B refrigerants. Designed as an OEM-style line set solution for residential and light commercial ductless mini split systems requiring a 3/8-inch liquid line and 5/8-inch suction line configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's instructions. Recover and isolate all refrigerant before disconnecting existing lines, and confirm the system is fully de-pressurized before cutting or flaring. Use proper flaring tools sized for 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch tubing to ensure leak-free connections. Support the line set at intervals required by local code to prevent sagging or abrasion of the outer jacket.
