The GARDNER SPRING MB0375-015 is a Belleville disc spring designed for high-load applications in compact spaces. This conical washer-style spring delivers significant clamping or load force through a very small axial deflection. With an outer diameter of 0.375 inches, an inner diameter of 0.19 inches, and an overall assembled height of 0.027 inches, this spring is sized for 3/16-inch bolt applications. At full rated deflection of 0.0102 inches, it generates a load of 2,284.2 pounds. The spring is manufactured from steel, offering the hardness and fatigue resistance required for demanding mechanical assemblies. Maintenance technicians, millwrights, and mechanical assemblers commonly install this type of component.
Belleville disc springs like the MB0375-015 are used across a wide range of industrial and mechanical applications where space constraints prevent the use of conventional coil springs. Typical use cases include bolt preload retention, valve actuation, clutch packs, bearing preload assemblies, and vibration dampening stacks. They are commonly found in industrial machinery, pumps, flanged connections, and precision fastening assemblies. This spring is suited for both single-unit installation and stacked configurations, which allow load and deflection to be tuned to application requirements.
Designed for use with 3/16-inch bolt size applications. Verify inner diameter, outer diameter, and load requirements against the assembly specification before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright, mechanical technician, or assembler familiar with disc spring applications. Power down and de-energize or depressurize the assembly before servicing any component in the spring stack. When stacking multiple Belleville springs, consult the manufacturer load-deflection tables to confirm series or parallel orientation meets the required preload. Do not exceed the rated deflection, as flattening a Belleville spring can cause permanent deformation and loss of load capacity.
