The GARDNER BENDER PS-1575T2 is a plastic insulated coaxial cable staple designed to secure NM, UF, and other NM-type cables up to 3-conductor, including No. 10 gauge wire. The staple body is molded from high-grade UV-resistant polyethylene that resists rot, rust, and degradation from temperature extremes and direct sunlight exposure. Two zinc-plated nails are engineered to drive simultaneously without splitting the wood substrate. Nail heads recess flush into the staple body to minimize surface exposure. This fastener is used by licensed electricians and installers for clean, code-friendly cable routing on interior and exterior applications. Each pack contains 15 staples.
This staple is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where NM or UF cable must be fastened to wood framing, studs, joists, or exterior sheathing. The UV-resistant material makes it appropriate for outdoor or exposed runs where sunlight and weather cycling would degrade a standard plastic staple. Typical scenarios include securing feeder or branch-circuit cable along framing members during rough-in or retrofit wiring work.
Designed for use with NM, UF, and similar NM-type cables up to 3-conductor No. 10 gauge. Suitable as a standard cable staple fastener for wood framing applications in residential and light commercial electrical installations.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with NEC requirements for cable support and fastening intervals. Drive both nails together using a hammer to seat the staple without splitting the wood; do not overdrive, as this can damage cable insulation. Ensure power to the circuit is off before securing cables in existing installations. Follow NEC guidelines for maximum staple spacing along cable runs.
