The GARDNER BENDER ET6204 is a two-probe voltage tester designed for quick, reliable detection of AC and DC voltage in the 100-volt to 300-volt range. The tester uses two large neon indicators to communicate voltage level at a glance: the first indicator illuminates when voltage between 100 volts and 160 volts is present, and the second activates for voltages from 160 volts up to the 300-volt maximum. Twin probes snap securely to the bottom of the housing, allowing single-hand testing of outlets and terminals. Both the leads and housing are fully insulated. The ET6204 is UL listed, confirming it meets established electrical safety standards. Electricians and maintenance technicians use it for fast go/no-go voltage checks without setting up a full multimeter.
The ET6204 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work. It is commonly used to verify outlet voltage, check panel circuits, and confirm power status at receptacles and junction boxes before beginning service work. The snap-on probe storage makes it practical for one-handed checks in tight spaces such as outlet boxes and panel compartments. Its straightforward dual-indicator readout is well-suited to quick service calls where speed and visibility matter.
Designed for general-purpose voltage detection at standard residential and light commercial outlets and circuits operating within the 100-volt to 300-volt AC/DC range.
This tester is intended for use by qualified electricians and trained maintenance personnel. Always confirm the circuit is within the tester's 300-volt maximum rating before making contact. De-energize and lock out circuits per NFPA 70E safe work practices before performing any wiring work beyond a simple voltage check. Never use the tester on circuits suspected of exceeding its rated voltage range.
