The Gardner Bender 511749 is a clear poly cable staple designed to secure 3-wire UF, non-metallic (NM), and BX cable along framing, joists, and wall surfaces. The staple features a 0.75-inch saddle opening with a leg length of 0.375 inches, keeping cable held firmly without cutting into the jacket. The unbreakable poly body is insulated, making it safe for use on energized or pre-run cable runs. Each pack contains 50 staples. Electricians and skilled DIYers install these during rough-in wiring to route cable neatly and keep it protected against incidental contact.
This staple is suited for residential electrical rough-in work where NM, UF, or armored BX cable must be fastened to wood framing members, studs, or similar surfaces. The clear poly construction allows inspection of the cable jacket without removal. The zinc-plated legs drive cleanly into wood with a hammer or staple gun and resist corrosion in typical interior and protected exterior applications. The 50-count quantity covers standard rough-in runs on a single-family residential job.
Designed for use with 3-wire UF, non-metallic (NM), and BX armored cable as an OEM-style cable management staple for residential and light commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified tradespeople in accordance with NEC requirements for cable support spacing. De-energize all circuits before fastening staples on existing wiring. Drive legs straight into the framing member to avoid pinching or deforming the cable jacket. Do not overdrive — the saddle should seat flush without compressing the cable.
