The G E LIGHTING 81561 is a 40-watt incandescent B8 ceiling fan bulb sold in a 2-pack. Rated at 120 volts with a candelabra base, it features a blunt tip design and a C7A filament specifically engineered to handle the continuous vibration generated by ceiling fan motors. With a maximum overall length (MOL) of 3.19 inches, the bulb fits standard candelabra sockets found in ceiling fan light kits. Rated lamp life is 1,500 hours. This bulb is a direct fit for electricians and HVAC service techs replacing burned-out lamps in ceiling fan fixtures during service calls or tenant turnovers.
The 81561 is intended for use in ceiling fan fixtures that accept a candelabra base B8 bulb. It is suitable for residential applications where the fixture is exposed to constant motor vibration. The vibration-resistant construction reduces early filament failure common in standard incandescent bulbs used in fan applications. Packaging is flexible — the 2-pack can be carded for retail peg display or used in a tray pack configuration, making it practical for both counter stock and jobsite supply.
Designed for use in ceiling fan fixtures that accept a candelabra base B8 incandescent bulb rated at 120 volts and 40 watts.
Always shut off power at the wall switch and allow the existing bulb to cool before removal. Verify the fixture socket is rated for candelabra base and that the fixture wattage rating meets or exceeds 40 watts. Hand-tighten only — do not overtighten the candelabra base. Follow NEC guidelines for fixture-rated lamp replacement in occupied residential units.
