The G E LIGHTING 42194 is a 2-pack of ST19 vintage-style LED filament bulbs designed for decorative and ambient lighting applications. Each bulb draws 5.5 watts while delivering output equivalent to a 40-watt incandescent, producing 400 lumens at a warm 2,200 Kelvin color temperature. The amber all-glass globe houses a straight filament element that replicates the classic Edison aesthetic. With a CRI of 80 and full dimmer compatibility, these bulbs suit installations where warm, controllable light output and long service life are priorities. Rated for 15,000 hours, each bulb carries an estimated 13.7-year service life under typical use conditions.
These bulbs are well-suited for residential and light commercial decorative fixtures, including pendant lights, exposed-bulb chandeliers, wall sconces, and string-light installations where an Edison or vintage filament appearance is specified. The medium base (E26) fits standard residential sockets throughout North America. Electricians and lighting contractors installing decorative fixtures, as well as facility maintenance professionals replacing vintage-style lamps in hospitality or retail environments, are the primary installers.
Designed as a direct replacement for 40-watt incandescent ST19 medium-base bulbs in standard E26 sockets. Maximum overall length (MOL) is 4.43 inches; verify fixture clearance before installation.
De-energize the fixture at the breaker or switch before replacing any lamp. Confirm the fixture and any associated dimmer are rated for LED loads, as some older incandescent dimmers may cause flickering or reduced dimming range with LED filament lamps. Handle all-glass bulbs with care to avoid stress fractures; avoid touching the glass envelope with bare hands when possible. No special tools are required for standard medium-base socket installation.
