The G E LIGHTING 24954 is a 2-pack of G25 globe-shaped LED light bulbs designed as a direct replacement for 40-watt incandescent bulbs. Each bulb draws 4.5 watts and delivers 350 lumens at a 2,700 Kelvin color temperature, producing a warm soft white light output. The frosted finish diffuses light evenly across the globe surface, making it suitable for exposed-bulb fixtures where glare control matters. These bulbs are dimmable and use a standard medium base, fitting the same sockets as the incandescent bulbs they replace. They are rated for 15,000 hours of service life, equivalent to approximately 13 years of typical residential use.
These G25 LED bulbs are intended for decorative and general-purpose residential lighting applications. The globe shape and frosted finish suit bathroom vanity fixtures, pendant lights, and other exposed-bulb settings where bulb appearance is visible. The standard medium base makes installation straightforward in any compatible socket. The dimmable design allows use with most standard dimmer switches, giving installers and end users control over light level. A CRI of 80 ensures reasonably accurate color rendering for living spaces, bathrooms, and similar interior environments.
Designed as a direct LED replacement for 40-watt incandescent G25 globe bulbs in standard medium-base fixtures. Compatible with dimmable circuits using appropriately rated dimmer switches.
Installation is performed by a qualified electrician or a knowledgeable end user following local electrical codes. Always switch off power at the wall switch or circuit breaker before removing or installing bulbs. Verify the fixture and any associated dimmer switch are rated for LED loads before installing dimmable LED bulbs, as older incandescent-only dimmers may cause flickering or reduced lamp life. Maximum overall length (MOL) is 4.30 inches; confirm clearance inside enclosed fixtures before installation.
