The FREUD PMAPC1050 is a carbide-tipped masonry drill bit designed for drilling into brick, block, and similar masonry materials. Sized at 3/8 inches in diameter and 6 inches in length, this bit ships in a 3-piece pack. The carbide tip delivers the hardness needed to penetrate dense masonry without premature dulling. Dual flutes channel dust and debris out of the hole during drilling, reducing clogging and improving hole quality. This bit is intended for use in rotary mode only and is well-suited for trade professionals and experienced DIYers who work with masonry on a regular basis.
The PMAPC1050 fits standard rotary drill applications involving brick, concrete block, and similar masonry substrates. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial work where clean, accurate holes are required — such as anchor installation, conduit penetrations, or fastener placement through masonry walls. The 6-inch length provides adequate reach for most through-wall and deep-set applications. Because this bit is rated for rotary mode only, it should not be used in hammer-drill or SDS mode.
Designed for use with standard rotary-mode drills when drilling into brick, concrete block, and similar masonry materials. Not compatible with hammer drills or SDS-mode operation.
Installation of masonry anchors and fasteners using drill bits of this type is typically performed by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors during rough-in or finish work. Confirm the drill is set to rotary mode only before use — engaging hammer mode with this bit can damage both the bit and the chuck. Wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection when drilling masonry, as silica-containing dust is a respiratory hazard. Follow all applicable OSHA and local safety guidelines when working with masonry materials.
