The FREUD DMAPL4055 is a 3/16-inch x 10-inch x 12-inch SDS-Plus hammer bit engineered for drilling into concrete where rebar is present. Built around a full-carbide head with a 4-cutter geometry, it delivers fast, clean penetration without the head fractures common to standard brazed-tip bits. Tri-metal diffusion bonding technology bonds the carbide head to the steel shank, resisting heat buildup and preventing breakage under sustained hammer-drill loads. The precision tip geometry produces stable, accurate holes that meet ANSI standards for anchor-setting applications. Sold in a 5-piece package at 0.8 pounds total.
This bit is suited for concrete and masonry work where rebar interference is expected — foundation anchoring, structural retrofit, post-installed anchor work, and through-slab drilling. Installation is performed by concrete and masonry tradespeople using SDS-Plus or SDS-Max rotary hammer drills. Before bit changes, power down the tool and confirm the chuck is fully released. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and hearing protection during hammer drilling. Do not use this bit in a standard drill chuck or drill/driver — the SDS-Plus shank requires a compatible SDS chuck to transmit hammer energy correctly.
