The FREUD DCD060080P05G is a 5-pack of 6-inch, 80-grit PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) sanding discs designed for random orbital sanders used in surface preparation, material removal, and finishing work. These discs use a ceramic abrasive blend that cuts faster and lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide or zirconia discs. The stickfast PSA backing provides a secure, quick-change mount to compatible disc pads. The Endura-Bond grain bonding system locks abrasive particles firmly to the backing, reducing grain shedding during aggressive cuts. Each disc also incorporates a Clog-Shield anti-loading treatment to keep the cutting surface open longer between disc changes. The result is a disc suited for high-volume sanding tasks where downtime from disc swaps cuts into productivity.
These discs are intended for use in residential and light commercial trade applications including wood surface prep, drywall feathering, paint removal, and substrate leveling. Random orbital sanding is standard practice for finish carpenters, flooring installers, drywall finishers, and general contractors who need consistent scratch patterns without swirl marks. The 80-grit coarse rating makes this disc appropriate for initial material removal passes rather than fine finishing stages. Each pack contains 5 discs, making it practical to stock multiples for ongoing job-site use.
Designed for use with 6-inch PSA-style random orbital sander pads. Verify that the sander pad accepts pressure-sensitive adhesive discs rather than hook-and-loop before installation.
Ensure the sander is powered off and unplugged before changing discs. Clean the sander pad surface of dust and residue before applying the PSA disc to ensure full adhesion across the disc face. Avoid running the disc at speeds that exceed the disc manufacturer rating. Discs showing visible grain loss, tears, or delamination should be replaced immediately.
