The FORNEY INDUSTRIES INC 70511 is a carbon steel wire scratch brush with an integrated metal scraper, built for aggressive surface preparation work. The brush head features 0.014 inch diameter carbon steel wire arranged in 3 x 19 rows, solidly embedded to resist shedding under heavy use. The angled head design keeps knuckles clear of the work surface during scrubbing strokes. The curved wood handle includes a pre-drilled hang hole for tool storage. At 13-11/16 inches overall length, it provides good leverage for removing rust, scale, weld spatter, and paint from metal and other hard surfaces. Welders, pipefitters, HVAC techs, and general trade workers reach for this tool during pre-weld prep, post-weld cleanup, and corrosion removal tasks.
This brush is suited for use on metal fabrication benches, pipe joints, structural steel, and similar surfaces where aggressive mechanical cleaning is required. The included metal scraper extends its usefulness for removing paint, gasket material, and heavy deposits. The curved handle reduces wrist fatigue during extended scrubbing. It is appropriate for both shop and field use across welding, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial maintenance applications.
Designed for general-purpose surface preparation and cleaning on metal, masonry, and similar hard surfaces where wire brush abrasion is appropriate.
This tool is hand-operated and requires no installation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses and gloves when wire brushing, as bristles and debris can become airborne. Inspect bristles before each use and retire the brush if wires are bent, broken, or missing to avoid wire ejection during use. Store in a dry location to prevent handle swelling and bristle corrosion.
