The Forney Industries 32105 is a 7014 classification stick welding electrode designed for shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) applications. This 1/8 inch diameter rod comes in a 5 pound package and is suited for flat, horizontal, and overhead welding positions. The 7014 electrode features an iron powder, titania-type flux coating that produces a smooth, stable arc with moderate penetration and a self-releasing slag. It deposits a clean weld bead and operates on AC or DC current. Welding technicians and fabricators rely on this electrode for structural repairs, general fabrication, and maintenance work on mild and low-alloy steel.
The 32105 is appropriate for light to medium fabrication, structural steel assembly, and field repair work in both shop and field environments. The 7014 classification is commonly specified where a smooth bead appearance and easy slag removal are priorities. It performs well on clean or lightly scaled mild steel base metals and is used by welders in construction, manufacturing, and maintenance trades.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement electrode for use with standard SMAW stick welding machines that accept 1/8 inch diameter electrodes operating on AC or DC current.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or welding technician. Store electrodes in a dry environment and recondition in a rod oven if moisture exposure is suspected before use. Always follow applicable AWS and local safety codes, wear appropriate PPE including a proper welding helmet, and ensure adequate ventilation when welding indoors. Verify the welding machine polarity and amperage settings are appropriate for 7014 electrodes before striking an arc.
