The FLUKE FLUKE-772 is a milliamp process clamp meter designed for instrumentation and control loop work in industrial and commercial facilities. It measures DC current up to 100 milliamps (mA) and DC voltage up to 30 volts, making it purpose-built for 4-20 mA process loop diagnostics. The detachable jaw design lets technicians clamp onto loop wiring without breaking the circuit. The digital display reads up to 999 counts. Built to IEC 61010 CAT II safety standards, this meter is rated for use on secondary circuits and process instrumentation panels. Licensed electricians, instrumentation techs, and process control specialists are the primary users.
The FLUKE-772 is suited for loop calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks on process control systems in industrial plants, water treatment facilities, and building automation environments. Its HART communication compatibility allows use alongside HART-enabled field devices. Loop power, sourcing, and simulation functions let technicians power a loop, source a known mA signal, or simulate transmitter output without additional equipment. This makes it a compact, multi-function tool for 4-20 mA instrumentation work.
Designed for use on 4-20 mA process control loops and HART-compatible field instrumentation in industrial and commercial applications.
Installation and service should be performed by a qualified instrumentation technician or licensed electrician familiar with process loop wiring and CAT II rated equipment. De-energize or isolate the circuit segment whenever connecting or removing test leads, and follow applicable NFPA 70E safe work practices for electrical testing. The detachable jaw should be inspected for damage before each use. Do not exceed the rated 30 volts DC or 100 mA measurement limits.
