The FLUKE BP880 is a BNC female to double stacking banana plug adapter designed to connect a BNC oscilloscope lead to a dual-banana-input digital multimeter (DMM). Rated to 500 VRMS maximum, it enables signal-path continuity between shielded BNC cables and standard DMM input jacks without modification to either instrument. The banana plug is constructed of nickel-plated beryllium copper for low contact resistance, and the BNC shell carries a tarnish-resistant plating. Electrically rated to an operating temperature of 50 degrees C (122 degrees F) maximum, this adapter is used by electronics technicians, calibration professionals, and field electricians working with high-end measurement equipment.
The BP880 is specifically suited for adapting shielded BNC cables found on high-current clamp accessories such as the FLUKE 80i-110S to a DMM input. It supports hands-free testing setups in controlled voltage environments where both BNC and banana-jack instrumentation are used in the same measurement circuit. The stacking banana plug design allows additional test leads to be connected in parallel, preserving flexibility in multi-instrument bench or field configurations.
Designed for use with shielded BNC cables found on high-end low-current clamp accessories, including the FLUKE 80i-110S, when connecting to a DMM with standard dual banana plug inputs.
This adapter is installed by electronics technicians and calibration professionals working with oscilloscopes and digital multimeters. Before connecting or disconnecting the adapter, confirm that the circuit under test is de-energized or that the voltage does not exceed the 500 VRMS rating. No tools are required for connection; hand-tighten the BNC connector to the scope lead and seat the banana plugs firmly into the DMM input jacks. Follow all applicable safety standards for the voltage category of the circuit being measured.
