The FIRST COMPANY 60HCXQ4010APB00AAF is a single-piece, multi-position hot water air handler rated at 5 nominal tons and designed for upflow and horizontal installations. It ships with a factory-installed circulating pump, automatic pump timer, and blower delay controls, making it a largely pre-assembled unit ready for field connection. The PSC motor operates on 120 volts with 24-volt control wiring, delivering a nominal airflow of 2,000 CFM. The slide-out hot water coil assembly and easy-access check valve simplify service calls. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit in residential and light-commercial hydronic systems where forced-air distribution is paired with a hot water heat source.
This air handler is suited for hydronic heating applications in residential and light-commercial settings. The upflow and horizontal configuration options give installers flexibility in mechanical room layouts. The unit includes a convertible horizontal drain pan, primary and secondary drains, a factory-installed manual air purge valve, and a blower door safety switch. R-410A refrigerant compatibility makes it appropriate for cooling coil configurations within applicable system designs. No TXV is included with this unit. A factory-installed filter and 20-amp maximum fuse sizing round out the standard installation requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation air handler for upflow and horizontal multi-position hydronic forced-air systems compatible with R-410A refrigerant.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before beginning any wiring or service work on the unit. Ensure hydronic supply and return lines are properly flushed before connecting to the factory-installed pump to prevent debris damage. Verify that supply voltage matches the 120-volt motor requirement and that circuit protection does not exceed the 20-amp maximum fuse size.
