The FIRST COMPANY 30hcxq3010bpb00aaf is a 2.5-ton multi-position air handler designed for hot water heating applications. It features a 3-row hot water coil paired with a PSC blower motor and an integrated pump control, allowing the unit to manage circulator pump operation directly. The air handler is rated for use with R-454B refrigerant and operates on 120 volts. A standard piston metering device is factory-installed on the coil circuit. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit in residential and light commercial forced-air systems where a hydronic hot water heat source is combined with a split cooling system.
This air handler is suited for multi-position installations, meaning it can be configured for upflow, downflow, or horizontal airflow depending on the mechanical room layout. The 3-row hot water coil provides heating capacity sourced from a boiler or other hydronic supply. The integrated pump control eliminates the need for a separate relay to energize the circulator pump on a call for heat. At 2.5 tons of cooling capacity, this unit fits typical residential applications and smaller light commercial spaces requiring both hydronic heat and split-system cooling from a single air handler cabinet.
Designed as an OEM-style multi-position air handler for residential and light commercial split systems using R-454B refrigerant paired with a hydronic hot water heat source.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing or wiring the unit. The hot water coil piping connections must be made per applicable plumbing codes, and the circulator pump control wiring should be verified against the unit wiring diagram before energizing. R-454B refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification.
