The FIRE PROTECTION 01-100 Kydex Ring is for use as a backing material behind sprinkler escutcheons. The 4 in diameter covers most oversize holes, including those cut in ceiling material during installation or replacement to meet seismic requirements. Kydex is a fire-resistant material and may be cut to install around an existing sprinkler drop.
