The FIRE-LITE sd365r is an addressable, plug-in photoelectric smoke detector with remote test capability, designed for use with DNR and DNRW remote test accessories. It is part of the SD365 Series, which features an enhanced optical sensing chamber engineered to detect smoke from a wide range of combustion sources in compliance with current fire code standards. The sd365r is suited for installation in commercial and residential life-safety systems where addressable detection and remote testing access are required. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage contractors handle installation and commissioning.
The sd365r fits into addressable fire alarm systems using the LiteSpeed protocol or CLIP protocol depending on the finish selected. The white finish version supports LiteSpeed protocol only, while the ivory finish version supports both CLIP and LiteSpeed protocols. This makes the sd365r adaptable across a range of addressable fire alarm control panel configurations. It is typically installed in ceilings of commercial buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and multi-unit residential structures where code requires addressable detection with remote test functionality.
The sd365r is designed for use with DNR and DNRW remote test accessories and is compatible with addressable fire alarm systems supporting LiteSpeed protocol (white finish) or both CLIP and LiteSpeed protocols (ivory finish).
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or low-voltage contractor in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. De-energize the fire alarm control panel circuit before connecting or removing the detector head from its base. Verify protocol compatibility between the detector finish selected and the addressable control panel before installation. Follow the manufacturer wiring and address-setting documentation provided with the panel and detector.
