It helps keep fire and smoke barrier doors open until triggered by a remote smoke detector or another switching device. The assembly comprises an armature contact plate with adjustable pivot mounting for door installation and a heavy-duty electromagnet housed in a durable plastic enclosure, which can be mounted on the wall or floor behind the door.
