The AF16x21x1A-M8 is a MERV 8 pleated air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. With a nominal size of 16x21x1 inches and an actual size of 16x21x0.75 inches, this filter fits standard 1-inch filter slots in forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems. MERV 8 filtration captures a broad range of airborne particles including dust, pollen, mold spores, and lint, making it a solid baseline filter for most HVAC applications. This product is sold in a quantity of 10 filters per order. Installation requires no special tools and is performed by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable building maintenance staff.
This filter is suited for residential forced-air heating and cooling systems as well as light commercial air handlers that accept a standard 1-inch filter. Common install locations include return-air grilles, filter racks, and blower compartment filter slots. The pleated media construction increases surface area over flat fiberglass filters, supporting better particle capture without excessive restriction to airflow. Each pack contains 10 filters, making it practical for scheduled preventive maintenance programs where filters are replaced on a regular interval.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems that accept a standard 1-inch nominal filter in a 16x21x1 inch slot.
Air filters in this size class are installed by HVAC technicians or trained maintenance personnel. Before replacing the filter, set the thermostat to off and confirm the blower has stopped to avoid drawing an unfiltered air path through the system during changeout. Insert the filter with the airflow direction arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower. Follow local codes and equipment manufacturer recommendations for replacement intervals, typically every 30 to 90 days depending on system runtime and environmental conditions.
