The FERRAZ SHAWMUT ATDR5-6/10 is a Class CC time-delay fuse rated for 5.6 amps, 600 volts AC, and 300 volts DC. It features a ferrule form factor and belongs to the Amp-Trap 2000 series, designed for reliable overcurrent protection in demanding electrical systems. The time-delay characteristic allows the fuse to ride through harmless inrush currents from motors and transformers while still opening quickly on sustained overloads or short circuits. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fuse type in fusible disconnect switches, control panels, motor branch circuits, and industrial control equipment where Class CC rejection is required.
This fuse is suited for both commercial and industrial electrical installations where a compact, high-interrupting-capacity Class CC device is specified. Typical applications include motor branch-circuit protection, transformer primary protection, and control circuit protection in panel assemblies. The 600-volt AC rating and 300-volt DC rating give it broad applicability across AC distribution and DC control systems. It is commonly installed by licensed electricians working under NEC requirements for branch-circuit overcurrent protection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class CC time-delay fuse positions in fusible disconnect switches, motor control centers, and control panels rated for Class CC fuse holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 240 and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Verify that the fuse holder or disconnect block is rated for Class CC ferrule fuses and matches the voltage and ampere ratings of this fuse. Never install a fuse in a wet or contaminated holder, and confirm the replacement ampere rating matches the circuit design before restoring power.
