The FERNOX 155738-0055 Alphi-11 is a glycol-based antifreeze and corrosion inhibitor formulated for long-term protection in hydronic heating and chilled water systems. Supplied at 100% concentration in a 55-gallon container, it guards against frost damage, internal corrosion, and limescale buildup. At a minimum in-use concentration of 25%, it delivers frost protection down to 12.2 degrees F (-11 degrees C). Increasing the concentration to 50% extends protection down to -29.2 degrees F (-34 degrees C). HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors handling closed-loop fluid systems rely on Alphi-11 as both a seasonal antifreeze and a year-round inhibitor treatment.
Alphi-11 is suited for residential and commercial hydronic heating systems, chilled water loops, and geothermal ground-source heat pump circuits. It is designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals commonly found in closed-loop piping, heat exchangers, and coil assemblies. The 55-gallon drum format is practical for commercial installations, large geothermal projects, or service companies treating multiple systems from a single supply. Dilution to the required working concentration is performed on-site prior to charging the system.
Designed for use in closed-loop hydronic heating systems, chilled water systems, and geothermal ground-source heat pump circuits. A minimum in-use concentration of 25% is required to maintain effective corrosion protection.
System charging and fluid treatment should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or mechanical contractor familiar with closed-loop hydronic systems. Flush and clean the system before introducing the treated fluid to avoid contaminating the inhibitor package. Dilute to the required working concentration using clean water before charging; do not introduce full-concentration fluid directly into an operating system. Verify concentration after charging using a refractometer or appropriate test kit to confirm frost and corrosion protection levels are within specification.
