This toilet seal is rated for use on all floor types, including wood, tile, linoleum, and carpet. It accommodates floors that sit up to 3/4 inch above the toilet flange, making it particularly well suited for tile overlays, flooring renovations, and in-floor radiant heat installations where the finished floor height may exceed standard flange projection. It is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for any residential bathroom or light commercial application requiring a 4-inch by 3-inch toilet-to-drain connection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation seal for standard residential and light commercial toilets with a 4-inch by 3-inch horn-to-drain connection on any subfloor type, including installations where the finished floor is raised above the toilet flange.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson following local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply, drain and disconnect the toilet completely before removing the old seal and cleaning the flange and toilet horn surfaces. Apply the FTS-4CF seal to the toilet horn before setting the toilet onto the flange, pressing firmly to ensure full adhesive contact. Do not reposition the toilet after initial placement, as repositioning may compromise the seal bond.
