The FERNCO 3000-33 is a flexible neoprene shielded coupling designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. The neoprene sleeve compresses against both pipe ends to form a leak-free, mechanical connection without special tools or solvent cements. The stainless steel shield and clamp bands add rigidity and resistance to shear forces at the joint. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in new construction and repair applications where a reliable no-hub pipe connection is required.
The 3000-33 is suited for 3-inch pipe connections in residential and light commercial DWV systems. It accommodates cast iron, plastic, and other common pipe materials at the same diameter, making it a practical choice for transition joints and repairs where pipe types change or original couplings need replacement. Compatibility

Installation Notes
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable plumbing code, such as the IPC or local equivalent. Shut off flow and drain the line before removing the existing fitting or cutting into the pipe. Slide the coupling over both pipe ends, center the neoprene sleeve over the joint, and tighten the clamp bands evenly to the torque specified on the coupling packaging. Do not over-tighten the clamp bands, as this may damage the neoprene sleeve and compromise the seal.
