The FAIRLANE PG-0510X2 is a fully threaded adjustable positioning gripper designed to hold and locate workpieces securely during machining, assembly, and fixturing operations. Built with a carbide-tipped serrated tooth and a fine tooth grade, it delivers reliable grip force on a range of workpiece materials. The 1/2-13 thread and 2-inch thread length allow for straightforward integration into standard fixture plates and tooling blocks. A 1/4-inch internal hex drive simplifies installation and adjustment. The black oxide finish provides basic corrosion resistance for shop and industrial environments. This gripper is installed by tooling engineers, fixture builders, and machine operators working in manufacturing and production settings.
The PG-0510X2 is suited for use in workholding fixtures, jigs, and positioning systems where repeatable part location is required. The adjustable, fully threaded design allows the gripper to be positioned along the full thread length, accommodating different workpiece heights and fixture configurations. The serrated tooth pattern and fine tooth grade are appropriate for applications requiring firm engagement on metal, plastic, or composite workpieces. The 3/8-inch pad diameter provides a compact contact footprint for tight fixture layouts.
Designed as an OEM-style adjustable positioning gripper for use in standard workholding fixtures and tooling plates that accept 1/2-13 threaded components.
Installation is performed by tooling engineers or fixture builders using a standard 1/4-inch hex key. Thread the gripper into a tapped 1/2-13 hole in the fixture plate and position it to the desired height before locking in place. Ensure the fixture or machine is fully de-energized and workpiece clamping forces are relieved before adjusting or replacing the gripper. Do not over-torque during installation, as carbide-tipped contact elements are brittle under impact or excessive side loading.
