The FAIRLANE HS-95 is a square positioning gripper designed to locate and hold workpieces securely during machining, assembly, or fixture operations. Measuring 0.5 inches square and 0.375 inches high, this compact gripper features a 10-32 fine thread for precise installation into threaded fixtures or jigs. Constructed from high speed steel with a black oxide finish, the HS-95 delivers hardness and wear resistance suited to repeated use in production environments. The diamond serration pattern and fine tooth grade provide strong gripping force against metal, plastic, and composite workpiece surfaces. A 0.03 x 45-degree chamfer aids in part alignment and seating. Typically installed by machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders.
The HS-95 is used in workholding fixtures, jigs, and locating plates across light and heavy manufacturing environments. It is well suited to applications where consistent part positioning is critical, such as CNC machining setups, assembly fixtures, and inspection fixtures. The fine tooth diamond serration pattern bites into workpiece surfaces without causing excessive marking, making it appropriate for both rough and finished part handling. The 10-32 thread size fits standard tapped holes in steel and aluminum fixture plates. Non-counterbored construction keeps the profile low and the mounting footprint minimal.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-installation square positioning gripper for workholding fixtures, locating jigs, and assembly plates using 10-32 threaded mounting holes.
Installation is performed by machinists or fixture builders using a standard hex key or driver appropriate for the 10-32 thread. Ensure the mating fixture plate is tapped cleanly and to proper depth before threading in the gripper. Power down and lock out any associated machine before servicing or replacing grippers in an active fixture. Do not overtighten, as excessive torque can damage the thread or distort the gripper body.
