The ESAB W100-9401 is an AC/DC TIG and Stick welding system engineered for precision work across all weldable materials, including aluminum and magnesium alloys. It produces a true square wave output combined with balance and cleaning controls, which extends tungsten life and eliminates the need for continuous high-frequency arc maintenance. Automatic input voltage selection allows operation on 208-230 or 460 volts, single or three phase, making it adaptable to shop and field environments. At 35.9 pounds, the unit is built into a robust aluminum enclosure designed for portable use without sacrificing durability.
This system is suited for professional welders performing structural, fabrication, and maintenance work in both shop and light industrial settings. The multi-process capability covers AC TIG for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and magnesium, DC TIG for ferrous and stainless applications, and Stick welding for general-purpose work. The combination of high-frequency start and Liftarc TIG start options gives the operator flexibility depending on the material and application. Trades commonly using this unit include pipe welders, fabricators, and maintenance welding technicians who require a portable, full-featured inverter-based system.
Designed as a standalone multi-process inverter welding system compatible with weldable ferrous and non-ferrous materials; suitable for use with standard TIG torches and Stick electrode holders appropriate for the amperage range of the unit.
Installation and connection should be performed by a qualified electrician or certified welding equipment technician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for welding equipment. Verify that the supply circuit voltage and phase match the selected input configuration before energizing the unit. Power down and lock out the supply circuit before making any input cable connections or inspecting internal components. Ensure adequate ventilation at the installation site as required by AWS and OSHA welding environment guidelines.
