The ESAB 255015315 is the AtomArc 7018 low hydrogen stick electrode, designed for all-position welding on carbon and low-alloy steels. Each electrode measures 5/32 inches in diameter and 14 inches in length, and the package contains 50 pounds of electrodes. The moisture-resistant coating helps maintain low hydrogen levels, reducing the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking in the weld zone. The electrode produces a deep, penetrating arc with a stable, controllable puddle suited to structural and fabrication work. Licensed welding inspectors and certified welders rely on this rod where code-compliance is required.
AtomArc 7018 is used across residential, commercial, and industrial welding applications involving carbon steel and low-alloy steel base metals. Typical scenarios include structural steel fabrication, pipe welding, heavy equipment repair, and pressure vessel work where low hydrogen deposits are specified by the welding procedure. The all-position classification means it performs in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead orientations without changing electrodes.
Designed for welding carbon steels and low-alloy steels in applications requiring a low hydrogen E7018-classified electrode per AWS specification.
AtomArc 7018 electrodes should be stored in a dry rod oven at the manufacturer-recommended temperature to maintain their low hydrogen rating after the original packaging is opened. Welders should verify that amperage settings match the 5/32-inch diameter per the applicable welding procedure specification (WPS). Work should be performed by a qualified welder in accordance with the applicable code, such as AWS D1.1 for structural steel. Discard any electrodes with damaged or wet flux coating.
