The ESAB 0558-102555 is a multi-process, multi-voltage welding machine cart designed for industrial MIG, Flux-Cored, TIG, and Stick welding applications. Built around the Rebel EMP 285ic platform, it operates on 120 or 230 volt single-phase input and delivers 285 amps at 40 percent duty cycle. The integrated 4-roll drive system handles solid wire from .030 inches up to .052 inches and cored wire up to 1/16 inch. Stick electrodes up to 5/32 inch and TIG rods up to 3/16 inch are also supported. Licensed HVAC, pipe, and structural welding professionals will find this unit suited to both shop and field work. The cart configuration keeps the machine stable and mobile without sacrificing portability when the welder needs to be removed and carried independently.
This unit is used in industrial and commercial welding environments where a single machine must handle multiple processes without swapping equipment. The multi-voltage input allows operation on standard 120-volt circuits or 230-volt single-phase service, making it adaptable across job sites and shop configurations. Short arc and spray transfer MIG modes are both supported, along with flux-cored wire feeding across the full wire diameter range. The cart mounting provides a stable platform during stationary production work, while the roll cage and handles allow the machine to be detached and repositioned as the job requires.
Designed as an OEM cart and machine package for the ESAB Rebel EMP 285ic single-phase multi-process welder. Consult ESAB documentation for compatible torches, guns, and accessory kits.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or welding equipment technician familiar with NEC requirements for welding power supply circuits. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making input cable connections or servicing internal components. Verify that the supply circuit ampacity and conductor sizing match the machine input requirements before energizing. Do not exceed the rated duty cycle during continuous operation, as this can cause thermal shutdown or equipment damage.
