The ESAB 0447-800880 is the Renegade VOLTa ES 200i, a portable battery-powered welder designed for Stick (SMAW) and Live TIG (GTAW) processes. It operates in three modes: Battery, Mains, and AMP+ Hybrid. On AC mains at 230 volts, the unit delivers up to 200 amps of output. On battery power alone, it reaches up to 140 amps. Compatible with DEWALT FLEXVOLT 6 Ah, 9 Ah, and 12 Ah batteries, the package includes four 12 Ah batteries. The unit weighs 89.5 pounds and measures 23.75 inches long by 23.5 inches wide by 21.5 inches tall. Licensed welders and field service technicians are the primary installers and operators.
The Renegade VOLTa ES 200i is built for mobile welding in remote, offsite, or hard-to-reach locations where AC mains power is unavailable or limited. AMP+ Hybrid Mode supplements a smaller AC circuit, such as a 10-amp or 16-amp breaker, with battery power to prevent nuisance trips and sustain higher output on 120-volt input. The welder can burn up to 33 E6013 electrodes on a single charge using all four 12 Ah batteries. Its color-screen user interface is readable in direct sunlight and includes a battery status display and remaining arc time calculator.
Designed for use with DEWALT FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX batteries in 6 Ah, 9 Ah, and 12 Ah configurations. Supports Stick (SMAW) and Live TIG (GTAW) welding processes. Operates on 120-volt or 230-volt AC mains input or standalone battery power.
This unit is operated by qualified welders and field technicians familiar with SMAW and GTAW processes. Before connecting to AC mains, verify the circuit breaker rating matches the intended input voltage and amperage draw; AMP+ Hybrid Mode is specifically designed to assist on circuits as small as 10 amps. When operating on battery power only, ensure batteries are fully charged and properly seated before striking an arc. Follow all applicable AWS safety standards and local electrical codes when making mains connections.
