The ERGODYNE 55015 is a half-frame, blade-style safety glasses featuring a purple mirror lens and lime-colored frame, designed for trade and outdoor work environments where eye protection and field of vision are both critical. The polycarbonate lens blocks 99.9 percent of UVA, UVB, and UVC rays and is rated for high-velocity impact to ANSI Z87.1+ standards. The lightweight frame keeps weight low to reduce fatigue during extended wear. A rubberized nose bridge and rubberized temples provide non-slip retention and sweat resistance throughout the workday.
These safety glasses are suited for construction, landscaping, carpentry, woodworking, and similar trades where outdoor or variable-light conditions are common. The purple mirror lens carries a 20 percent Visual Light Transmission (VLT) rating, making it appropriate for outdoor use in bright light conditions. The rubber temples can be manually bent and re-bent to fit a range of head shapes, supporting a consistent seal and secure fit across workers. Single-unit packaging makes them easy to stock and distribute on a job site.
Designed as a general-use personal protective equipment (PPE) safety glasses for trade professionals and workers requiring ANSI Z87.1+ compliant eye protection in outdoor or bright-light environments.
Safety glasses require no installation tools. Before use, inspect the lens for cracks, chips, or scratches that could compromise optical clarity or structural integrity. ANSI Z87.1 compliance designation is printed directly on the frame for verification during site PPE audits. Replace immediately if the lens or frame shows signs of impact damage.
