The ERGODYNE 52085 is a half-frame safety glass featuring a blade-style design built for trade and outdoor work environments. The polycarbonate lens carries Fog-Off+ technology, which layers durable scratch resistance with enhanced anti-fog performance for clear sightlines during rapid temperature changes or dusty conditions. The lens filters 99.9 percent of UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. The frame flexes without breaking and uses a non-slip rubber nose piece and rubber temples to hold position during heavy activity. ANSI Z87.1+ certified and tested to MIL-PRF-32432 Ballistic Fragmentation Class 1, these glasses are suited for professionals who require impact and fragmentation protection on the job.
The 52085 is designed for use in construction, carpentry, woodworking, and landscaping applications where impact debris, UV exposure, and fogging are primary hazards. The indoor/outdoor lens performs across a range of lighting conditions, making it practical for transitional environments such as moving between covered work areas and direct sunlight. The matte black frame with rubber-grip contact points is well-suited for high-perspiration work settings where standard frames tend to slip. This model ships as a single unit and is appropriate for individual issue or jobsite PPE inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style PPE replacement or first-issue safety glass for professionals requiring ANSI Z87.1+ and MIL-PRF-32432 Class 1 certified eye protection in indoor and outdoor work environments.
Safety glasses require no tools for use but should be inspected before each shift for lens crazing, frame cracks, or compromised temple grip. Clean polycarbonate lenses with a soft cloth and lens-safe solution only - abrasive wipes will degrade the anti-scratch coating. Replace the unit if the lens is scratched to the point of reducing optical clarity, as degraded lenses no longer meet ANSI Z87.1+ optical requirements. Disposal and replacement intervals should follow the employer's written PPE program or applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.133 requirements.
