The ERGODYNE 25519 is the GloWear 8287 high-visibility winter jacket and vest with detachable sleeves, designed for outdoor workers who need warmth, weather protection, and ANSI-compliant visibility in cold conditions. The shell is constructed from 300D Oxford polyester with a PU coating, making it wind-resistant and waterproof. Fully taped and bonded seams lock out moisture at every seam line. The body uses 100G 3M Thinsulate insulation while the quilted sleeves use 80G 3M Thinsulate, delivering serious cold-weather warmth without excess bulk. Licensed electricians, road crews, utility workers, and other trade professionals in high-exposure environments rely on this jacket for compliant jobsite visibility.
This garment is built for commercial and industrial worksites where ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 Type R Class 2 compliance is required. It functions as a 3-in-1 system: wear it as a full jacket, detach the quilted sleeves to use it as a vest, or zip the inner jacket into the separately sold 8386 outer shell for maximum cold-weather protection. The hi-vis orange fluorescent body combined with 2-inch reflective tape ensures visibility in low-light and nighttime conditions. Size 5XL is stocked for larger-framed workers. Machine washable construction supports repeated laundering on active job rotations.
Designed to be worn as a standalone jacket or vest, and compatible as an inner liner with the Ergodyne GloWear 8386 outer shell (sold separately). Available in hi-vis orange and hi-vis lime colorways.
No tools required for donning or configuring this garment. When detaching or reattaching the sleeves, ensure zipper tracks are fully aligned and seated before use in the field. Launder according to the care label to preserve reflective tape adhesion and insulation loft. Inspect reflective tape and seam integrity regularly, as ANSI compliance depends on tape condition remaining within specification.
