The ERGODYNE 23992 is the Skullerz 8952 hard shell bump cap, designed to protect workers from low-energy impacts such as bumps, scrapes, and bruises in environments where full hard hat protection is not required. The cap features a durable polyethylene shell that resists cracking and breaking and wipes down easily for quick cleaning. A ventilated suspension system promotes airflow and breathability for all-day comfort. The suspension is adjustable for height, rear strap angle, and head size, and includes a removable, replaceable 4mm foam-backed fabric sweatband. This cap meets the EN 812-2012 standard for industrial bump caps.

The Skullerz 8952 is suited for use in residential and commercial service settings where workers regularly operate in confined or low-clearance areas. Typical applications include HVAC and plumbing installation and inspection, pest control, food processing and manufacturing facilities, airline baggage handling, and automotive service. The short flat angled brim improves upward visibility in tight spaces. Recessed side panels allow compatible integration with earmuffs for use alongside hearing protection. This cap is one size fits most and ships in green. It is not rated for use where ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 hard hats are required.
