The ERGODYNE 19757 is a self-adhering tool tethering tape trap designed to create secure retrofit tether points on hand tools that lack manufactured attachment points or captive holes. Built for use with Squids Tool Tails and tool lanyards, the 19757 simplifies the process of adding tether capability to existing hand tools without requiring adhesives, heat sources, or additional tools during application. Fiberglass-reinforced construction delivers high strength along with cut- and puncture-resistant performance. Each roll measures 144 inches long and 1 inch wide. Third-party certified to a 15-pound (6.8 kg) maximum capacity and compliant with ANSI/ISEA 121-2018, this tape trap is built for environments where dropped objects represent a serious hazard.
The 19757 is suited for use in construction, telecommunications, oil and gas, power generation, utilities, wind energy, and manufacturing jobsites. It is intended for installation by safety-conscious tradespeople and site workers who need to tether hand tools at elevation or in areas where dropped objects pose a risk to personnel below. This pack includes 10 individual rolls, making it practical for outfitting multiple tools or restocking a crew. The self-adhering design leaves no sticky residue and causes no damage to the tool surface after removal.
Designed for use with Squids Tool Tails and compatible tool lanyards for hand tool tethering. Suitable for tools that lack manufactured attachment points or captive holes. Intended for use on jobsites where ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 dropped-object protection standards apply.
Application requires no adhesives, heat source, or specialty tools - the tape is applied directly to the tool handle by wrapping to the desired coverage. Ensure the tool surface is clean and dry before application to maximize bond integrity. Follow ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 guidelines and applicable site safety programs when establishing tool tethering systems at height. Inspect the tape trap and tether connection before each use and replace if cut, abraded, or otherwise compromised.
