Episode EA-COM-WP-ZONE-BL Poe Zone Controller

Product Description

The EPISODE EA-COM-WP-ZONE-BL is a PoE (Power over Ethernet) powered zone controller designed for structured audio distribution systems. It draws power directly from a PoE-capable network switch or injector, eliminating the need for a dedicated local power supply at the installation point. This controller is categorized within the amplifier and audio signal processing product family, making it a fit for commercial and residential AV integration projects. Installation is typically performed by licensed low-voltage contractors or experienced AV systems integrators working within structured wiring environments.

The EA-COM-WP-ZONE-BL is suited for multi-zone audio installations where centralized control and simplified wiring are priorities. Its PoE power delivery makes it well-adapted for retrofit applications or new construction where running separate power circuits to each zone is impractical. It is sold as an individual unit and is applicable in residential whole-home audio setups as well as light commercial environments requiring distributed audio zone management.

Key Features

• PoE powered — draws power directly over the Ethernet cable, no local power adapter required
• Zone control functionality for distributed audio systems
• Designed for low-voltage structured wiring installations
• Sold as a single unit for flexible deployment across multiple zones
• Falls within the amplifier and audio signal processing product category

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed AV integrator familiar with structured wiring practices. Ensure the connected network switch or PoE injector meets the power delivery requirements before connecting the controller. De-energize the relevant network port or disable PoE output on the switch prior to making or breaking connections. Follow local low-voltage wiring codes and manufacturer documentation for zone configuration and network setup.
