The EMUGE TA219744.0445 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill from the MultiDRILL Series TA219744, designed for high-performance drilling across a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries a TiAlN coating for heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding applications. The 4.45 mm cutting diameter is paired with a 140-degree self-centering point that reduces walking and improves hole entry accuracy. The sub-micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge toughness required for consistent performance in production environments. This drill is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment.
This drill suits universal machining applications across material groups including steel, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and aluminum - corresponding to ISO material groups P, K, M, N, S, and H. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 36.00 mm flute length (1.4173 inches) support chip evacuation during moderate-depth holes. Internal coolant-through capability allows cutting fluid delivery directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat buildup and improving chip clearing at depth. Typical applications include precision hole production in component manufacturing, metalworking shops, and maintenance operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application drill for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter, conforming to DIN 6537 L specification.
Installation is performed by machinists in accordance with machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are fully secured before tool engagement. Confirm chuck or collet sizing matches the 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank before clamping. When using coolant-through capability, verify that the machine spindle supports internal coolant delivery and that fluid pressure and flow rates are within the machine specification before operation.
