Product Description

The EMUGE TA213344.0635 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to Letter E (0.2500 inch / 6.35 mm diameter) and coated with TiAlN for extended tool life in demanding applications. It features a 140-degree four-facet point for accurate self-centering and reduced thrust on entry. The sub-micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-performance drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Coolant-through construction delivers coolant directly to the cutting zone, supporting higher feed rates and helping evacuate chips from deep holes. Right-hand spiral flutes with web thinning round out a geometry built for productivity.

This drill bit is suited for precision hole-making in machining centers, CNC drilling operations, and manual machine tools where a straight-cylindrical shank is used. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 43 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for through-hole and moderate-depth blind-hole work in a production environment. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops or manufacturing facilities will find this bit appropriate for high-volume runs in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials where TiAlN coating performance is needed.

Key Features

  • Solid sub-micrograin carbide construction for hardness and wear resistance
  • TiAlN coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments
  • 140-degree four-facet point promotes accurate self-centering and reduced thrust
  • Coolant-through design delivers cutting fluid directly to the drill tip
  • Web-thinned geometry reduces cutting forces and improves chip evacuation
  • Right-hand, regular spiral flute with 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio

Compatibility

Designed for use in machine tool spindles and CNC machining centers accepting a straight-cylindrical shank with an 8 mm shank diameter. Conforms to DIN specification standards for jobber-length drill bits.

Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine in a full stop, lockout/tagout procedures completed, and spindle power confirmed off. Use a collet or drill chuck rated for the 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism according to the toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and that the machine tool coolant system is compatible before use. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each setup.
