The EMUGE L0100100.5611 is a double-end STI plug thread gage designed to verify internal threaded inserts to the 4-40 thread standard at 2B classification. One end carries the Go member; the other carries the No Go member. Together they confirm that a tapped hole with a helical insert will accept an in-tolerance fastener and reject an out-of-tolerance one. The gage body is machined from tool steel with a bright, uncoated finish and ships with a handle and a short-form certification document. Machinists, tool-room technicians, and quality inspectors use this gage as part of in-process or incoming inspection routines on threaded insert applications.
This gage is used wherever STI (Screw Thread Insert) tapped holes must be verified before insert installation or after rework. Typical applications include aerospace component inspection, precision machined part verification, and production-line quality checks on any assembly that relies on helical wire inserts to reinforce 4-40 threaded holes. The double-end configuration keeps both Go and No Go members on a single tool, reducing bench clutter and handling time during inspection. A handle is included, making the gage ready to use out of the box.
Designed for inspection of STI-style tapped holes with a 4-40 thread size and 2B tolerance classification, conforming to ASME B1.2 standards.
Thread plug gages are precision inspection instruments and should be handled by qualified machinists or quality technicians familiar with ASME B1.2 gage practice. Store the gage in a protective case away from abrasive materials to preserve gage surfaces. Do not force the No Go member into a threaded hole; if it does not enter under hand pressure, the hole is within tolerance. Clean threads before gaging and recalibrate or replace the gage per your shop's established gage control procedure.
