The EMUGE GFR35106.5045 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal 3/8-24 UNF threads in a CNC machining environment. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiCN for heat and wear resistance, this tool delivers consistent thread geometry in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It features 3 right-hand flutes, a 0.3090-inch cutting diameter, and a 0.7690-inch length of cut. Coolant-through design supports chip evacuation and thermal management during thread milling operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this tool for precision internal threading where tap breakage or access constraints make single-point or tapping approaches impractical.
This thread mill is suited for internal threading operations requiring 3/8-24 UNF thread profiles at a minimum nominal bore diameter of 0.3750 inches. It is used in job shop, aerospace, and general precision machining applications where CNC milling centers are used to produce threads in blind or through holes. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 1-3/8-inch shank length make it compatible with standard ER collet and end mill holder setups commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation, producing internal 3/8-24 UNF threads at a minimum nominal diameter of 0.3750 inches. Compatible with standard collet and end mill holder systems accepting a 5/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC thread milling cycles and helical interpolation programming. Ensure the tool is secured in a properly sized, balanced collet or end mill holder and that runout is within acceptable limits before use. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant flow are set per the machining program before engaging the cut. Never use this tool in a manual drill press or hand-held application.
