The EMUGE EFUT3200.0317 is a solid carbide spotting drill designed to create precise starter holes and center points for follow-on drilling operations. The 120-degree point angle produces a clean, accurate cone seat that guides twist drills, reducing wander and improving hole location accuracy. At 2 inches overall length with a 0.125-inch cutting diameter, this is a compact tool suited for precision work in tight setups. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose applications across a range of workpiece materials. Right-hand cutting direction and a straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and CNC operators in shop environments.
This spotting drill is used in general-purpose machining operations on both manual and CNC drilling equipment. The 0.125-inch diameter and 2-inch overall length fit small-part work and close-tolerance layouts where accurate hole placement is critical before drilling to final size. The two-flute spiral geometry clears chips efficiently at the shallow depth typical of spotting operations. It is part of the EMUGE EFUT3200 series and is suited for production and job-shop use alike.
Designed as a general-purpose spotting drill for use in standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders that accept a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank on manual mills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before starting the spindle. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before running. Inspect the cutting tip for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fail suddenly if a damaged edge contacts the workpiece.
