Product Description

The EMUGE CU503200.5012 is a spiral flute tap designed for blind hole threading in demanding materials including acid-resistant steel, alloy steel castings, stainless steel, and tool steel. Part of the Enorm-VA series, it features a 7/16-14 UNC thread form, a modified bottoming chamfer, and a 39-degree helix angle that efficiently evacuates chips up and out of the hole during cutting. Manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel with an oxide coating, this tap delivers the hardness and heat resistance needed for high-alloy and stainless applications. It produces 2B class of fit internal threads and is sized for use in machine tapping operations.

This tap is intended for use in blind hole applications where chip evacuation is critical and where through-hole taps are not appropriate. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading closer to the bottom of a hole than a standard plug tap. The Enorm-VA series is purpose-built for stainless steel, acid-resistant alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials commonly encountered in industrial, aerospace, and manufacturing environments.
