The EMUGE AU203000.5016 is a spiral point tap designed for through-hole and blind-hole threading in steel and non-ferrous metals. Built from HSS-E cobalt high-speed steel and finished with an NT coating, this tap handles demanding tapping applications where tool life and thread quality are critical. The 3/4-10 UNC thread form is produced with a 4-flute, plug chamfer geometry that pushes chips forward ahead of the cutting edge, making it well suited for through-hole work. The 2B class of fit tolerance is the standard for most inch-series threaded fastener applications. Overall length is 4.25 inches with a thread length of 1.181 inches (30.00 mm).
This tap is intended for use in machine tapping operations on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping machines. The plug chamfer entry allows fast engagement in through-hole applications while remaining capable in blind holes with sufficient chip clearance. Appropriate for production threading in steel and non-ferrous metal workpieces. The 0.590-inch shank diameter and 11.23 mm square drive are sized for standard tap holders and quick-change tapping chucks in this capacity range. Installation is performed by machinists and tool-room technicians in manufacturing and fabrication environments.
Designed for through-hole and blind-hole threading applications in steel and non-ferrous metal workpieces requiring a 3/4-10 UNC, 2B class of fit thread. Compatible with standard tap holders and quick-change tapping chucks sized for a 0.590-inch shank diameter.
This tap is installed and operated by machinists using CNC machining centers, drill presses, or dedicated tapping machines. Secure the tap in a properly sized tap holder or quick-change chuck before operation; never apply side loading to the shank. Ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured and the spindle speed and feed rate are matched to the material and tap geometry per the tool manufacturer recommendations. Use an appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to reduce heat and extend tool life.
