The EMT FLEX ef125mr is a Type-EF liquidtight flexible metallic conduit (LFMC) with a 1-1/4-inch trade size, built around a steel core and finished with a gray PVC outer jacket. It is designed to protect electrical conductors in wet, oily, or outdoor environments where rigid conduit cannot accommodate movement, vibration, or directional changes. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this conduit in commercial, industrial, and residential applications wherever a flexible, liquidtight wiring method is required. The steel core provides crush resistance and grounding continuity, while the PVC jacket seals out moisture and contaminants.
Type-EF LFMC is a common wiring method used to connect motors, HVAC equipment, pumps, compressors, and other machinery where vibration isolation and moisture protection are both required. This 1-1/4-inch trade size is frequently used on larger motor terminations and equipment feeds. This product is sold cut to length, making it practical for job-specific runs. Note that this conduit is Non-UL listed, which may affect its use on projects governed by specifications requiring listed materials. Verify local inspection requirements and job specs before installation.
Designed for use with standard 1-1/4-inch LFMC fittings. Compatible with fittings referenced under Electri-Flex 80142. Suitable for use wherever Type-EF liquidtight flexible metallic conduit of 1-1/4-inch trade size is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits before beginning conduit work and verify the absence of voltage with a meter. Use fittings rated for liquidtight flexible metallic conduit to maintain the integrity of the liquidtight seal at termination points. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius for 1-1/4-inch trade size LFMC as defined in the NEC, and secure conduit with appropriate supports and straps per code intervals.
