The Emerson Climate Technologies TXV+CONNECT 1-1/2TR-410A is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) connect kit designed for use with R-410A refrigerant in residential air conditioning systems. Rated at 1.5 ton capacity, this externally equalized TXV controls refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil to maintain proper superheat and system efficiency. The kit includes the latest-generation thermal expansion valve along with Chatleff and Aeroquip adapters, making integration straightforward. The body is a straight-through configuration with a 3/8-inch ODF inlet and 1/2-inch ODF outlet, and the kit includes a 5-foot cap tube. The charge code is AA (Wide Range), giving the valve flexibility across varying system operating conditions.
This TXV connect kit is intended for residential split-system air conditioning applications using R-410A refrigerant. The wide-range charge code (AA) makes it suitable for installations where suction pressure and load conditions may vary. The included Chatleff and Aeroquip adapters allow the valve to connect easily to common evaporator coil configurations found in residential systems. Licensed HVAC technicians performing evaporator coil replacements or TXV upgrades on R-410A systems are the primary installers of this component.
Designed for use in residential air conditioning systems charged with R-410A refrigerant. The included Chatleff and Aeroquip adapters are compatible with standard residential evaporator coil connection types across a wide range of systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification for R-410A refrigerant handling. Recover all refrigerant and confirm the system is depressurized before removing the existing metering device. Mount the TXV bulb firmly to the suction line per the manufacturer's orientation requirements, and insulate it thoroughly to ensure accurate thermal sensing. Follow all applicable mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's service documentation when brazing or flaring refrigerant connections.
